Indian Creek Volleyball Highlights

Indian Creek Volleyball team reloaded this year. After having a successful year in 2006-2007 and graduating 8 seniors from the previous team, Coach Crutcher did not know what the 2007-2008 team would do. However, it was the most successful volleyball season in the school’s history. They won their first ever regional championship against Putnam County.

Congratulations to the Indian Creek Volleyball team for making it to the Sweet 16 in the IHSA State Tournament this year. The T-Wolves made it all the way to the Sectional Championship game in Serena tonight. In the first game, IC beat Morgan Park Academy from Chicago 25-12 and 25-22 to earn the right to the Sectoinal Championship Match. The feature game of the night featured IC vs. IC, Indian Creek vs. Immaculate Conception from Elmhurst. Immaculate Conception beat our IC team 25-12 and 25-14 to take the Sectional Title and the right to play in the Super-Sectional on Monday against the Keith School from Rockford. The 1-1 record on the night ends the season at 22-12 for the Timberwolves, who say goodbye to six seniors (Bree Flach, Isabelle Jeffries, Kaitlan Lave, Julia Novotny, Kim Russell and Samantha Wong).

The team ended up taking 2nd in the conference tournament to Newark and tying for 1st place with LeLand-Earlville for conference regular season.

We will miss the seniors (Bree F., Kim R., Kaitlan L., Isabelle J., Julia N., Sammy W.)
