Creative
Writing is a school club organization dedicated
to the literary self-expression of the students at Indian Creek High
School. We spend time discussing the work that students care to
present to the other members for feedback, but
we take the opportunity to discuss our writing and techniques with other
writers in our varied community. Meetings will be held every week on
Thursday, unless stated otherwise. Attendance at these meetings will
not be mandatory to be a member of the club. Bring a notebook to participate
in any writing prompts that may be presented at a meeting.
The group strives to spend time socializing together, as well as searching out chances for student writers to become involved in writing contests outside of school or attending literary events in the community such as book signings and writers workshops. We also offer forums for student work in the form of this page and a planned literary journal to be published at the end of the year.
Anyone interested in participating in the Creative Writing Club or being published in our forums should attend meetings and submit work for Ms. Zwinak’s approval.
