FFA Banquet March 28

Tuesday Appreciation Breakfast
On Tuesday Morning of FFA week the Indian Creek FFA sponsored an appreciation breakfast to show how thankful they are for the support of the donors and area farmers. They served a hot pancake, egg, and sausage breakfast. Although the workers had to get up a bit early but they had a lot of fun

AITC
Ag in the classroom is a great opportunity for the high school FFA members to interact with the elementary school kids by informing them about agriculture. Some projects included making corn stalks, playing agricultural based games, and making ice cream. The kids really enjoyed the experience

Tuesday, Truck Day
On Tuesday the FFA members drove their trucks to school. The participants were: Pete P., Clayton A., Morgan B., David M., Justin W., Jeff K., Tim E., Annie L., Lucas P., and Ryan L. The members had a good time showing off their trucks.

Wednesday, Tractor Day
On February 21 our chapter kicked off the second day of FFA week by having tractor day. This year there were 9 tractors; 7 green and 2 red. During the day we drove tractors to the Shabbona Elementary School where we let the kids sit in the tractors and argue about what color tractor they liked better. After that we decided to drive up and around the nursing home and let the seniors see the tractors. In the end it was a tractor day that will always be remembered.

Thursday Ag Olympics
This year we held another an Ag Olympics Assembly for FFA week. The Olympics consisted of a bail toss, finding a cup in a pile of straw, putting on some coveralls, and milking a cow. There were 6 teams; Freshmen, Sophomore, Junior, Senior, FFA, and Faculty. After 30 minutes of fierce competition the faculty emerged victorious.

Friday, Petting Zoo
The FFA Petting Zoo held on Friday February 23 was a big success. The elementary kids from both Shabbona and Waterman came over throughout the day to learn about each animal and what they are like. There was also a coloring contest for the classes that attended. The students had a great time and learned a lot.

CCC Auction
Some of the members helped at the CCC Auction by displaying items during the auction. They also assisted in delivering the sold items

A Special Thanks To Alumni
