English 425:  Book Critique

            The book critique will accurately critique a novel which has been approved by the teacher.  You should use MLA format for writing the critique and submit an outline, rough draft and final draft on the assigned date.  The critique should be written in the third person and include transitions for coherency.  This paper must be typed.  The critique will consist of five paragraphs which will contain the following information:

II.                 Discuss one of the following options:

A.     The way in which the main character develops in the story;

B.     The theme of the story and the way in which it emerges; or

C.     The author’s use of symbolism in the story.
