Modern America is a one semester course, required by seniors for graduation,
that examines the influence of the post WWII era on decision making for the
21st Century. The position of the United States as a leader of the free world
will be the focus of attention, with emphasis on individual issues such as
use of military force, energy, food supply, etc.; to help the student gain
a better understanding of the inter-relationships that bind nations together
in a global economy. A text and various other sources will be used to involve
the students in gathering data for discussion and decision making.
