Overview: This course will include both hand building clay techniques, slab, coil, and pinch methods and throwing pots on the wheel. Sculpting will be incorporated through the use of clay in free-standing figures and in the cretion of mobiles. Students will learn all terms associated with clay techniques, the tools, and the firing process. If a student enrolls in the second semester, the student will be working independently under the supervision of the instructor.
