The Pack Yearbook

Open to: Grades 10, 11, 12

Prerequisite: "C" average in English the previous school year and student/teacher conference.

Credit: 1

Maximum Credit: 2 (May be taken a third year for an audit credit with instrucor's permission)

Overview: This course will begin with a breif background of publishing terms and techniques. Students will then gain experience in editing copy and layout, news gathering, feature writing, graphics, design, and some photography through the production of the yearbook. The advertising sales unit requires each student to sell a set number of ads to area businesses. The students will also work with various journalism techniques in creating th Indian Creek Journal. First year Art for Publication students must start at the beginning of the year. Previous A or B Art for Publication students may join the class for a second semester.
