College attended: Eastern Illinois University for BS in ED ( social studies education; English minor) and MS in Ed ( Guidance and Counseling); I also have taken coursework via the following colleges and universities: Illinois State University Southern Illinois University; Northern Illinois University; Aurora University; Olivet Nazareth University (for various course work over the years.)

What are you certified to teach? Grades K-16-Elementary Students, Middle School Social Studies (U.S. History), English. I also have taught Psychology at the Junior College level.

What classes do you teach? Career class to the driver's ed. students.

Extra curricular activities: I am the Renaissance team co -coordinator at ICHS. Over the years, I have been a cheerleading coach and the senior class sponsor to mention a few.

Background Information: I am married to Dean who I met at EIU. We have raised a family of two girls and two boys. Our children are all young adults pursuing various careers mostly in the scientific field. In my free time, I enjoy mysteries either in print or on video.

What do you enjoy about teaching? The energy level of the students and being able to impact their learning about life, work, and career choices.
