Text Box: TUESDAY is LIBRARY DAY for Kindergarteners

~ Each week your child will come to the library on TUESDAY.I will read stories,

teach library skills and/or we will do some fun activities.

~ Your child may check out 1 book for 1 week.

~ Books must be returned by TUESDAY morning for your child to be allowed to check out another book that week.

~ Overdue notices (”pink slips”) may be sent home for books that are not returned in a timely manner. After 4 weeks overdue, a book is considered lost and payment will be requested for a replacement to be purchased by the school.

~ Your child has been encouraged to keep their library book in their backpack. This will help ensure that they have their books when they need it ...at home to read or at school to return on library day!

~ To encourage reading, each month I will send home a reading calendar to keep track of reading done at home.  Color in 1 square for each day your child reads at home with someone. You may return the calendar anytime that month, after at least 15 squares have been colored in,  your child will receive a sticker on Library Day!

~ In coordination with the Book It Program, from October to March your child can also earn a certificate for a free personal pan pizza from Pizza Hut if they turn in their calendar.

THANK YOU for your cooperation with helping your child have an enjoyable library experience!
